Evening family BBQ (BYO) & Night Walk in Pinkerton Forest

On Saturday 16th April at 6.00 pm, Pinkerton Landcare & Environment Group will host an evening family BBQ (BYO) in Pinkerton Forest at a newly erected shed and storage area with a wash basin and toilet, kindly supplied & erected by Western Water. The BBQ will be followed by several night walks & activities such as bird observing, bat watching and identifying frog calls in the nearby dam. Attendance is free!

Marilyn Hewish, a leading authority on moths, will conduct a moth survey, & will show us an impressive diversity of local moths. We also hope to see owls & possums, & should also hear many frogs (although we do not expect to see them).

Pinkerton Forest is on Mt. Cottrell Rd (between Greig's Rd & Boundary Rd). From Greig's Rd there is a group of 2-3 houses on the right after about 2km, entrance to the forest is IMMEDIATELY after these. If approaching from the South (Boundary Rd) Pinkerton Forest is IMMEDIATELY before the 1st house on the left. Melway Map 221 Ref H7
