Our next working bee date is on Sunday 26 August 2018 from 9:30 am -12:30 pm and will be held at the Werribee River grassland.
We are meeting at the gate with the green Land for Wildlife sign on Mt. Cottrell Road at 9.30am.
The plan is to broadcast the spear and wallaby grass seed on the native grassland on the top of the escarpment, and to anchor down the rabbit proof fence to secure it from the invading rabbits. Most of the weeds on the grassland have been treated.
Below on the stream bank we may do some watering of this years planting if needed, and certainly go on an exploratory walk.
Everyone is welcome to join in this relatively easy exercise, it will be like going back to the time of our forefathers!
