Weed Control
Sunday - 9 March 2008

Time: 9.00 am - 12.00pm
Where: On top of the Exford Escarpment (Griegs Road) opposite the entrance to the Strathtulloh homestead, Melways Edition 33, Map 221 A2
Details:

We are planning to do some weed control on a large highly visible area of the escarpment at Exford.

Additional info:

The area has been rabbit proofed and was previously aerial sprayed for serrated tussock control. Now 5-7 years later, the native grasses and wildlfowers are starting to return and what's new, the weeds have started to grow as well !

We are planning to remove or spot spray some of them, take a break for morning tea (kindly provided by Western Water) and then go for a walk up the adjacent spectacular Wallaby Gully. This is the gully for which we have received a grant from Melbourne Water to restore, it will be interesting to see what native vegetation lies in it's depths.

We expect to be walking out of the gully by 12 noon.

Everyone is most welcome.
